First, Lindsay speaks with Walter Forsyth, the executive director of the Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative , based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This member-run centre has been fostering collaborative creativity and education in film production and presentation since 1974. Next, we play a taped interview with Hillary Lindsay, the managing editor at The Dominion, a monthly paper published by a network of independent journalists in Canada since May 2003 and made available both online and through a print version for subscribers. Integral to their organization is the Dominion News Cooperative. Finally, Lindsay speaks with Terry Morash, the publisher of Prairie Dog Magazine, an alternative weekly news and culture publication in Regina, Saskatchewan. Prairie Dog is a worker's co-op, and as you heard in our previous interview with Hillary of The Dominion, it has been a great source of inspiration for grassroots media-makers. Prairie Dog Magazine doesn't have a website at this time, but you can check out the related publication Planet S Magazine.
