Instead of the usual themed show, this episode of Each For All is looking at a couple of different topics, which don't seem to be very connected to one another: Homelessness in the Greater Victoria Area, and Co-op Development in Mongolia. What these topics do have in common, however, is that the people we're speaking to about them are both local activists who have been deeply influenced by the co-op model and have shown their commitment through long-time involvement in social economy projects. First Lindsay speaks with Ben Isitt, who is the author of a paper entitled "Housing For All: The Social Economy and Homelessness in British Columbia's Capital Region". Please check the BCICS Publications for the paper's availability. Following that is an interview Lindsay conducted with Vanessa Hammond of The First Ownership Co-op, a worker co-op of developers, about her experiences in Mongolia. She also delivered a lecture as part of the speaker series with the BCICS. (1 vote)
