Jacqui MacDonald is experienced in building ethical and fair trade international businesses. Currently she is acting as a consultant on fair and ethical trade issues with a range of clients including The Body Shop, The Ethical Trading Initiative, The Co-operative Group, UK, The Commonwealth Secretariat, ITC, Shell International, NGOs and fair trading organisations in N. America, Europe, Asia and Africa. She is the co-author of Business and Poverty: Bridging the Gap. Jacqui was an Associate of the Co-operative College in the UK, where she taught Responsible Retailing and an Associate Director of The Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF). She is also Regional Representative for Verité, an US-based NGO operating in 66 countries to verify trade and export. She is also a keynote speaker at next week’s Ethical Purchasing Forum here at UVic. Jacqui lives in Victoria, BC and is currently working with the Victoria Values Based Business Network (http://www.vbnetwork.ca).
